Howard D. Krepack, Bicycling Attorney

With three decades of successful legal practice, Howard D. Krepack, Co-Managing Partner of Gordon, Edelstein, Krepack, Grant, Felton and Goldstein, has earned the recognition of his peers and accolades from his clients based on his long string of successes in the courtroom. Among those many victories are cases involving bicyclists.

A long-time and avid cyclist, Mr. Krepack has represented a wide variety of bicyclists, from recreational enthusiasts to racers, sponsored competitive cycling teams and spoke to bicyclists about the need to ride safely and responsibly.

Howard Krepack, Bicycling AttorneyMr. Krepack is extremely knowledgeable about bicyclists’ rights and is a staunch advocate for safety and legislation that will enhance the cycling culture in Southern California. His expertise proved particularly vital in obtaining a significant settlement for a cyclist who was struck and killed by a catering truck on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) in 2005. The challenging and complex lawsuit involved multiple defendants, including the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).

PCH was also the scene of another bicycling-related case Mr. Krepack is handling. This one also involves Caltrans as a defendant, with multiple plaintiffs, some with catastrophic injuries. Mr. Krepack and his team of Personal Injury attorneys understand the ripple effect of serious injuries and how they impact clients as well as their loved ones. When it comes to representing injured bicyclists, Mr. Krepack is also cognizant of how the bicycling community is affected as they see “one of their own” victimized by what they may feel as an unequal right to the road.

Mr. Krepack is well known for taking on difficult claims and obtaining substantial verdicts in a variety of complex Personal Injury matters, including those involving spinal injuries, brain injuries, wrongful death, product liability and elder abuse.

Bicycling Attorney Howard D. KrepackHe has been consistently ranked on a list of Southern California Super Lawyers® and has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Mr. Krepack earned his bachelor’s and juris doctor degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles. A Martindale Hubbell AV-rated attorney, he is admitted to practice in the State of California and before the United States District Court, Central District of California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U. S. Supreme Court.

He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Million Dollar Advocates Club, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Consumer Attorneys Association of California, The Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles and the Leaders Forum of the American Association for Justice. He has served as a Judge Pro Tem.
