Workers' Compensation Attorneys/Lawyers

Sherry E. Grant
Sherry E. Grant Sherry E. Grant has practiced workers’ compensation law for three decades, and was one of the first women to practice in the field after launching her legal career in labor law and civil rights litigation.

A California State Bar Certified Workers’ Compensation specialist, Ms. Grant fights for the rights of both represented and unrepresented workers injured on the job. Her experience encompasses all aspects of workers’ compensation law in unions and non-unions, in both the public and private sector, across a wide range of industries, such as teachers; airline employees; nurses; janitors; social, cafeteria, health care, and utility workers.

A leader in the legal community, Ms. Grant serves on the statewide Senate Bill 899 committee, which supports and consults with attorneys who are arguing SB 899-related cases, including those before the California Supreme Court. She has been a member of the Board of Governors of the California Applicants Attorneys Association and has chaired CAAA’s Education and Technology committees. She is a past president of the Southern California Applicants Attorneys Association and remains active. She has been an Adjunct Professor at the Southwestern University School of Law, and Judge Pro-Tem for the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board. She is a member of the American, California and Los Angeles County Bar Associations. Ms. Grant regularly conducts seminars and training sessions for labor union representatives to educate and keep them up-to-date on critical issues relating to wages, benefits and working conditions.

Ms. Grant has repeatedly been named a Southern California "Super Lawyer," as well as being included on the list of "Best Lawyers" in Los Angeles Times' West magazine.

Ms. Grant earned her law degree with honors from Loyola University in 1974, and was admitted to practice the same year.
