Joshua M. Merliss
Joshua M. Merliss is a personal injury law practitioner of counsel to Gordon, Edelstein, Krepack, Grant, Felton & Goldstein.
He has practiced law since 1976 and has a wealth of experience handling a wide variety of personal injury cases including automobile and construction accidents, defective products, insurance bad faith and employment discrimination.
The breath of his legal expertise extends to thoroughbred racetracks as Merliss turned his love for the sport of horse racing into a well-defined practice area. He has represented everyone from fans and bartenders to exercise riders and jockeys who sustained a variety of injuries at such racetracks as Santa Anita and Hollywood Park.
Merliss received his bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of California at Berkeley and a master’s degree in taxation from the University of Florida. While earning his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University, he received a scholarship for his marked excellence in the study of law.
He is admitted to practice in the State of California and before the United States District Court for the Central and Eastern Districts of California. Merliss is an associate of the American Board of Trial Advocates and a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
