Roger Gordon Represents Terminated Circuit City Employees in Employment Discrimination Suit
Press conference photos

Recently terminated Circuit City employees from across the Southland, picketed and held a press conference in front of the Circuit City store in Culver City. Employees, laid off for making too much money, gave brief statements and answered questions from the press regarding plans to assert their rights against Circuit City for employment discrimination. Of the 3,400 terminated employees, 321 of them worked in Los Angeles areas forty-four stores. These employees were told that after a hiatus, they could come back and apply for their old jobs, but at significantly less pay. Because many of those terminated were over 40 years old, the result is a statutory case of age discrimination having a disparate impact on older employees.

"It's unfortunate that Circuit City is terminating hard-working employees who have dedicated years of service to the company. We will do everything we can to right this terrible wrong, "commented Roger Gordon. "Not only are these employees suffering substantial damage, but society in general is being impacted by the loss of experienced, knowledgeable workers.
